First night in Delhi, India

Alright, I suppose that – technically – I’m in a city called Gurgaon but it’s essentially a suburb of Delhi so…whatever.  I arrived in India without incident but the flight was a beating.  15.5 hours in coach did a number on my back so I’m hoping that I can get a good night’s rest and recuperate a bit before I head into the office in the morning.  Speaking of a good night’s rest…

The Hotel

There were some last minute changes to my hotel accommodations last week and I’m now staying at a Lemon Tree hotel instead of the Park Plaza.  This place is half as much per night so I can understand why the company wanted me to switch.  However, I can definitely see why it’s so much cheaper.  No frills in this place.  Small room, small bed, small desk and small bathroom.  Oh, but I got a free bottle of water.  Sheesh.  The Hilton it ain’t…but it will have to do.

The first of many photos I’ll take while in Inida were of my hotel room and they’re already up on Flickr.  Here’s a sneak peak of my accommodations.

Okay folks, time for me to hit the sack.

Dr. Peter Venkman: Egon, this reminds me of the time you tried to drill a hole through your head. Remember that?
Dr. Egon Spengler: That would have worked if you hadn’t stopped me.

  1. If I had to go to India, I wouldn’t go to the bathroom the entire trip. Did you know India is the only country that still has the Plague? I mean the Plague! Please!

  2. Somehow i missed the point. Probably lost in translation :) Anyway … nice blog to visit.

    cheers, Opposability.
